The Depew Family
Missionaries to South Africa
Tom and Tiffany Depew did not grow up in Christian homes. They were both reached as a result of their sending church’s youth ministry. Tom and Tiffany met and were married at Grace Baptist in Middletown, OH in 2012. After graduating Bible college, the Depew family had an opportunity to serve on a 6 month internship with veteran missionaries in Taiwan in 2014. During this trip, God made it clear to them that they need to spend their lives advancing the kingdom God on the mission field. They served as Church planting missionaries in China from 2018-2020 before they had to leave the field due to visa issues. God has redirected their path to Cape Town, South Africa to serve as church planting missionaries.
Cape Town has a population of 5 million people and is a diverse city with influences from Europe, Asia, and other African countries, making it a melting pot of peoples and cultures. Its dynamic landscape and diversity of people make Cape Town one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but amidst this beauty, there are countless social issues including poverty, unemployment, crime, HIV/AIDS, and many others. Cape Town is a city that needs hope. It needs hope socially, economically, and – most importantly – spiritually.
Tom and Tiffany have four children: Lydia, Lucy, Lola, and Luka.
